Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring an Inventory Control Specialist in
Topsfield, MA. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will:
- Verifying received goods against bills of lading, purchase
orders, or other relevant documents.
- Recording all inventory on appropriate forms or within a
computerized database.
- Sorting, counting, and inspecting raw materials, finished
products, semi-finished items, and kit components.
- Distributing materials upon receipt of properly completed stock
requisitions.
- Ordering supplies for the stockroom and helping maintain a
continuous inventory.
- Assisting the purchasing department in expediting materials and
addressing kit shortages.
- Potentially taking on various planning responsibilities.
- Managing the ordering of all packaging materials to meet
packaging requirements.
- Receiving and preparing all documentation for incoming
materials, facilitating invoicing processes, and filing necessary
paperwork in job folders.
- Coordinating all shipping methods, selecting the most
cost-effective and timely options for transporting company goods in
line with contractual obligations.
- Filing claims for any lost or damaged items.
- Tracking shipments when forwarding information is needed or if
delays occur.
- Making deliveries and picking up materials as necessary.
- Collaborating with Contracts, Program Management, and/or
Administration to determine scheduled shipment dates.
- Assisting in the design of packaging requirements, preparing
packing lists, and ensuring all shipping documents are
accurate.This is a full time, direct hire opportunity. The ideal
candidate will have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of prior experience in Inventory or
Shipping/Receiving within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight forwarding
companies is essential.
- A valid driver's license.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
skills.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Salary: $25
- $27/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be
based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
